South Korea’s FSS Enhances Crypto Surveillance With AI and H100 GPU Expansion
South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is escalating its crackdown on crypto market manipulation through significant AI upgrades and expanded hardware capacity. The regulator has acquired additional Nvidia H100 GPUs to bolster its VISTA surveillance platform, which now detects suspicious trading patterns in real time.
The enhanced system employs structured grid searches to analyze trading periods, identifying manipulation windows previously undetectable. This MOVE comes as crypto activity surges across local exchanges and market risks intensify.
FSS reports a dramatic increase in flagged manipulation attempts since implementing the AI upgrades. The new hardware, to be fully operational by Q2 2024, enables deeper model training and faster detection cycles across multiple virtual asset markets.
